Grilled Ribs with Cherry Cola Barbecue Sauce

Heat oven to 350°F. Cut ribs into serving-size sections
- 5 to 6 lb pork baby back ribs
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic pepper blend
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 can (12 oz) cherry cola
- 1/4 cup cherry preserves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1 to 2 teaspoons buffalo wing hot sauce or other hot sauce
Double Chocolate Cake

1. Allow eggs to stand at room temperature 30 minutes
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 3 oz. dark or bittersweet chocolate, grated
- 1 recipe Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting or Vanilla Sour Cream Frosting (recipe below)

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup oat flour*
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1 3/4 cups fat-free milk
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- *Editor's Note: 1-1/4 cups quick-cooking oats, processed in a blender or food processor until finely ground, may be substituted for the oat flour.

- 2 (4 1/2-ounce) cans diced green chiles
- 1 (4.6-ounce) can black olives, drained and sliced, optional
- 1/2 cup green olives, sliced, optional
- 1 (1 1/4-ounce) package taco seasoning mix
- 1 (1-ounce) package ranch salad dressing mix
- Corn chips, for serving
- Sour cream, for garnish
- Grated cheese, for garnish
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
- Pickled jalapenos, for garnish

Preheat oven to 425 F. Brown sausage in a small skillet in a drizzle of olive oil
- Minute Spicy Marinara:
- 1 1/3 pounds raw Italian sweet sausage, casing removed
- A drizzle olive oil
- 2 cups ricotta
- A handful flat leaf parsley, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- A handful grated Parmigiano, plus extra, for knots
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated or a couple pinches of ground
- A few grinds black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped pimento
- 2 (10-ounce) tubes prepared pizza dough
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- Garlic oil (1 or 2 cloves chopped and heated in 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil)
- 2 cups tomato, marinara or pizza sauce for dipping or Five Minute Spicy Marinara, recipe follows
- 2 tablespoons (two turns around the pan) extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 (32 ounce) can chunky style crushed tomatoes
- Salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian dried seasoning
- 1 handful Italian parsley leaves, chopped
- Add olive oil to medium saucepan over moderate heat. Add garlic and crushed pepper to the heated olive oil; when pepper snaps and garlic sizzles, stir in crushed tomatoes. Season sauce with salt, pepp
- Yield: 4 servings
Hot and Spicy Hush Puppies

Preheat deep fryer to 375 degrees F
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 3/4 cup self-rising flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 small sweet onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 jalapeno, finely chopped
- 4 green onions, sliced thin
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup grated Cheddar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- Orange dipping sauce, recipe follows
Kickoff popper dip

Heat oven to 350ºF. Beat cream cheese and mayo in medium bowl until well blended
- 1 . Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
- 2 . On a lightly floured surface, unfold pastry. Using a 3-inch biscuit cutter, cut out 8 to 9 rounds and transfer to prepared baking sheet, placing 1 inch apart.
- 3 . Using a fork, prick each round in several places. Bake 5 min.
- 4 . Sprinkle each round with about 1/2 tsp. Parmigiano-Reggiano, then cover with 1 tomato slice; season with salt and pepper. Top each with 1 mozzarella slice.
- 5 . Bake until pastry is puffed and golden, 12 to 14 min. Sprinkle each tart with basil and serve warm. Makes 8 to 9 tarts.

- 2/3 cup warm water (110° to 115°)

- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4-1/2 to 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 pound sliced bacon, diced
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pound VELVEETA Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product, cubed
- 3 to 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- Ketchup or barbecue sauce, optional
