  • 1 log honey-vanilla sable dough

  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 3/4 tsp salt

  • 2 vanilla beans split lengthwise or I used 2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract according to another cookie recipe as per amount of flour, butter etc.
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cut into 1 inch pieces,room temp
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • pistachio paste
  • 1/2 cup raw pistachios
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 1 tbs veg oil
  • use food processor. For this recipe, blend 1/2 cup of the paste with 4tbs of unsalted room temp butter. That is the filling
