- 4 Cans Northwestern or Pinto Beans
- 1/2 Onion, diced
- 1/2 Cup Ketchup
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Dry Mustard
- 2 Tbsp Molasses
- 8 - 10 bacon strips

Blender Mayonnaise

In preperation for Radioactive Iodine treatment, no dairy, low iodine diet
- 1 egg equivalent or egg substitute; should
- contain egg whites and NO salt
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard with no
- salt added (look in a health food store)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 3 Tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 cup corn oil
Mom's Apple Pie

I'm not a baker but when I attempted Mom's apple pie, it got phenomenal ooh's and aah's from the family
- 5 Macintosh Apples
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 2-3 TBSP flour (I used gluten free flour)
- Pie Crust (I cheat and use frozen/refrigerated)
- 2 tsp Butter
- Cinnamon & Sugar
Penzeys Quick Stir-Fry Sauce

- 4 TBSP Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Honey
- 1-2 tsp Chinese 5 Spice powder
- 1/2 tsp granulated garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp minced ginger (or 1 TBSP Sweet Ginger Bits)
- Cayenne Pepper to taste
PHX Margarita

Mix all ingredients and serve over ice
- 3 oz Patron Silver
- 1 1/2 oz Patron Citronge
- 3 oz Key Lime juice
- 3 oz Grand Marnier (or Chambord for raspberry margarita, Midori for melon margarita)

Chinese Chicken Salad

Cook snow peas in a 4-quart pot of boiling salted water until crisp-tender, about 1 1/2 minutes
- 1/2 pound snow peas, trimmed 1 lb Napa cabbage, cored, then cut crosswise into 1/3-inch-wide strips (about 6 cups)
- 1 (1-lb) head of romaine, torn into bite-size pieces (about 8 cups)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Asian sesame oil
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 6 cups coarsely shredded cooked chicken (from a 2 1/2-lb rotisserie chicken)
- 1/2 cup chopped scallions
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
Braised Country-Style Pork Ribs

Directions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 3 pounds bone-in country-style pork ribs
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 carrot, chopped
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 1/2 cups chicken stock
- Creamy Polenta, recipe follows
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- Vegetable cooking spray
- 1 1/3 cups half-and-half
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup coarse polenta, or corn grits

Honey-Mustard-Glazed Salmon Steaks

In a medium bowl, whisk the mustards with the honey, soy sauce, garlic and thyme
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup whole-grain mustard
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped thyme
- Four 6-ounce skinless salmon fillets or 6- to 8-ounce salmon steaks (about 3/4 inch thick)
- Canola oil, for brushing
- Kosher salt
