Texas Pralines

Mix and boil the butter and sugar
- 2 sticks of butter
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- Graham Crackers
- Heath Brickle Bits
- Chopped Pecans
Grandma's Biscuits

Cut in margarine and crisco until course grain meal
- 2 cups of flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Sift above ingredients together.
- 2 tbs. sugar
- 1 stick of margarine and a lump of crisco
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 cup of milk
Broccoli Salad

Combine and chill for 1 hour or several before serving
- Dressing:
- 4 cups fresh, raw broccoli, cleaned and chopped. Use stalks.
- 1/2 cup raisins, dark or golden
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- Sunflower seeds, optional
- 8 oz, crumbled bacon
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tsp. vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
Tortellini Sour

In a large saucepan over med
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 Tbs. margarine
- 2 (13 1/2 oz.S) cans chicken broth
- 1 (8 oz) fresh or frozen tortellini
- 1 (10 oz) frozen, chopped spinacha, thawed
- 1 (16 oz) can stewed tomatoes, undrained and coarsley chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Bread Pudding

For Bread Pudding: Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Carmel Sauce:
- 2 cups half and half
- 15 oz. can pure pumpkin
- 1 cup plus 2 tbs. dark brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 10 cups, 1/2 in. cubes, egg bread (about 10 ozs.)
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup, 1 stick, unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- Powdered sugar
Shrimp delight

Cook the shrimp as package indicates in salted water until tender, drain and let cool
- 1 large pkg. frozen shrimp
- 1 large can of mushrooms (drained)
- 3 pkg. Green Giant Rice (1 wild and 2 medley)
- 2 cans frozen cream of shrimp soup or any of the canned fish soups, such as lobster bisque.
- 2 tbs. sherry (optional)
Amish Oatmeal Pie

Combine all ingredients. Mix thoroughly
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 tbls. melted butter or margarine
- 1 1/3 cups dark brown sugar
- 3 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/3 cup lightly crushed walnuts
- 2/3 cup old fashioned oatmeal ( not quick oats).
- 2/3 cup cocoanut
- 1 9 or 10" pie shell
Layered Picnic Loaves

Cut the loaves in half horizontally; hollow out tops and bottoms, leaving 1/2 in
- 2 unsliced loaves Italian bread (1 lb. loaves)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp. Italian seasoning, divided
- 1/2 lb. deli, roast beef
- 12 slices part skim mozzarella cheese (1 oz. ea.)
- 16 fresh basil leaves
- 3 med. tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1/4 lb. thinly sliced salami
- 1 jar marinated artichoke hearts, drained and sliced (6 1/2 oz.)
- 1 pkg. ready to serve salad greens (10 oz.)
- 8 oz. thinly sliced deli chicken
- 1 med. onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Strawberry Swirl Chream Cheese Pound Cake

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 6 lg. eggs
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup strawberry glaze
- 1 6" wooden skewer
Maple Pumpkin Pie

Set an oven rack in the lowest position and heat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 9" pie crust shell
- 2 large eggs
- 1 15 oz. can pure pumpkin puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
