To yeast and water mixture add 1 cup of flour
- Dissolve together:
- 1 cup of warm water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 cup of margarine
- 1 cup of chopped onions
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 cups of flour
Gingered Butternut Squash Pie

For the crustt, preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Crust:
- 24 ginger snaps (6 ozs.)
- 1 tbs. granulated sugar
- 4 tbs. vegetable oil
- Filling:
- 1 1/2 lbs. butternut squash, peeled, seeded, and cut into 1" cubes (about 4 cups)
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- Garnish:
- Crystallized ginger, cut into matchstickl
Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Strata

Slice the tomatoes 1/4 in
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1 tbs. vegetable oil
- 10 slices, whole wheat or white bread
- 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tbs. Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 leaves of lettuce
Nut Torte

Place flour, sugar and salt in a food processor and mix well
- Sauce:
- 2 1/4 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of salt
- 3/4 unsalted butter cut into pieces
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 tbs. half and half
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups of brown sugar
- 5 tbs. light corn syrup
- 1/3 cup of heavy cream or can use half and half
Cranberry-Raspberry Jello Mold

Dissolve Jello in 2 cups of hot water until disolved
- 2 small boxes Raspberry Jello
- 1 pt. Raspberry Sherbert
- 1 can whole cranberry sauce
Chocolate Pumpkin Tart

Crust: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Crust:
- 20 chocolate wafer cookies
- 2 tbs. of sugar
- 3 tbs. unsalted butter, melted, plus more for pan
- 4 oz. semisweet chocolate, melted
- Filling:
- 1 1/2 cups cooled sugar-pumpkin puree or 1 1/2 cups
- of canned pure pumpkin puree
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of pure maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 tsp. of salt
Chocolate Walnut Cake

Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes
- Sift together and set aside:
- Heat and melt
- 6 ounce pkg. chocolate morsels
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 1/4 cups sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- Combine in a bowl until blended
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup softened butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs: add one at a time and beat-blend in chocolate mixture. Stir in flour alternately with 1 cup of water. Pour into 2 well greased 9" layer pans.
- Chocolate Walnut Frosting
- 6 ounce pkg. chocolate morsels, 3 tbls. butter..heat and melt over water. Remove from heat and add
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Mix until well blended. Gradually beat in 3 cups of confectioner sugar.
- yields 1 3/4 cups.
Peachy-Graham Smoothie

Place all ingredients, except ice cubes, in blender; cover
- 1/2 cup, vanill, low-fat yogurt
- 1 can, (4 oz.) diced peaches in juice, drained
- 2 Honey Maid, low-fat Cinnamon Grahams, coarsley broken
- 1/3 cup, ice cubes
Cranberry Apple Pie

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- 1 pkg. refrigerated pie crust
- 1/2 cup Splends, granulated
- 1 Tbs. all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 4 lg. granny apple..peeled, cored and sliced
- 1 cup chopped cranberries
Pound Cake
By ghinman
Blend and beat all ingredients for 2 minutes
- Glaze:
- 1 box of cake mix
- 1 pkg. (4 svg. size) instant pudding
- 1/2 cup of Crisco oil
- 1 cup of water
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of confectioners sugar
- 2 tbs. citrus juice or 2 tbs. milk
- For Orange Pound Cake: Orange Supreme Cake Mix
- Vanilla pudding
- For Lemon Pound Cake: Lemon Supreme Cake Mix
- Lemon pudding
- For Golden Pound Cake: Yellow cake mix
- Vanilla pudding
