Sauce - Meaty Pasta Sauce

1. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a medium sauté pan and sauté onions for 4 minutes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- 1 28 oz can diced tomato
- 1 15 oz can tomato puree
- 1 cup carrots, grated
- 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons dried italian herbs
- 1 bay leaf
Poppy Seed Chicken

Arrange chicken in pan. Mix soup and cream & pour over chicken
- Topping:
- 4-6 chicken breasts
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 C. Cream
- 1 1/2 sleeves Ritz Crackers, crushed
- 1 T Poppy Seeds
- 3/4 C. Butter, melted

- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 loaf (1 pound) unsliced French bread, halved lengthwise
