Granola is an easy healthy breakfast, snack or topper for yogurts, fruits and desserts. My mom always made homemade granola growing up with a generous amount of coconut. She would always make a special seperate batch for me with the usual almonds switched out for pecans because I’m allergic. Granola is extremely versatile and can be easily suited and altered for a wide variety of tastes and dietary considerations.

  • 1 cup seeds (sesame, flax, millet, chia, hemp, pumpkin, sunflower, or any combination)

  • 12 Cups rolled oats
  • 2/3 Cup sunflower seed
  • 1/2 Cup sesame seeds
  • 1 Cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1 Cup almonds (roughly chopped)
  • 1 Cup cashews (roughly chopped)
  • 1 Cup coconut
  • 2 Tbs cinnamon (more or less depending on your love - or lack thereof - for cinnamon)
  • 1 Cup raisins (most any dried fruit will work)
  • Liquid:
  • 1 Cup canola oil (peanut oil also works)
  • 3/8 Cup honey
  • 3/8 pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
