Ingredients
- 6 medium apples, peeled and cored, thinly sliced
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 pkg. white cake mix
- 1/2 cup margarine, melted
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 cup water

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Arrange apple slices in ungreased 13x9x2 pan. Pour water over top. Combine cake mix, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon. Stir until thoroughly blended. Mixture will be crumbly. Sprinkle crumb mixture over apple slices. Bake 350 50-55 minutes till brown and bubbly. Serve warm or cooled with whipped topping or ice cream.
To reduce sweetness use 1/2 cup brown sugar
Tip:
You can substitute 2 cans (21oz.) apple pie filling for fresh apples omit the water.
