Ingredients
- 1 large turnip
- 2 apples, peeled and quartered
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. crushed seasoned croutons
- 3 tbsp. melted butter

Preparation
Step 1
Peel turnip, cut and cube. Peel apples and quarter. Boil together until tender, drain, mash, add butter and well-beaten eggs and beat well.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a separate bowl,, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Stir with a fork to combine mixture. Stir flour mixture into the turnip mixture. Combine well and pour into a buttered 2 quart casserole. Combine crushed seasoned croutons with melted butter. Mix well and sprinkle on top.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
