Crispy Baked Pork Chops with Parmesan

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne
  • kosher salt and pepper
  • 1 large egg plus 1 large egg white
  • 1 TBSP dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups Panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup flat-leaf parsley
  • 1/4 cup parmesan
  • 2 TBSP olive oil
  • 4 (bone in) pork chops

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 425. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place on top rack.
On a plate combine the flour, garlic powder, celery seed, cayenne and 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs and mustard.
On a second plate combine the panko, parsley, parmesan and oil.
Coat the pork chops in the flour, then egg mixture and then the panko mixture. Gently pressing to adhere.
Place on rack. Roast until pork chops are cooked through, 20-25 minutes. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
