- 4 cups honeycrisp or granny smith apple, chopped
- 1/4 cup orange juice, freshly squeeze is best
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Step 1
mound apples in a buttered 9 inch pie plate and pour orange juice over apples.
in a bowl, combine sugar, flour and spices using a fork. cut in butter until crumbly. scatter over apples.
Pat down.
Bake at 375 degrees or until topping is lightly browned or crisp. Top with homemade whipped cream, caramel or vanilla bean ice cream.
