    lb. dried black beans, soak overnight! I use 4 cans of black beans, drained and washed.

  • 4

    cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1

    large onion, chopped

  • 1/2

    t. ground cumin

  • salt and pepper

  • 1

    T. butter

Directions

If you soaked the beans, drain and rinse. Add the beans to a pot; Cover with 2 inches of cold water and add garlic, onion, cumin, salt and pepper. Leave on simmer until beans are tender and the sauce is thick. 1 1/2 to 2 hours to simmer. Melt butter in skillet and pour beans in then mash, but leave some texture. I used a food processor! Yummy!!!
