Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 3/4 cup shortening (1/2 cup butter or oleo)
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • Topping:
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 coconut
  • Glaze:
  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons margarine
  • 3 Tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Blend together crust ingredients: shortening, powdered sugar and flour.
Press into a 9" X 13" pan and bake for 12-15 minutes.

While that is cooking mix together topping mixture: Mix together eggs, brown sugar, flour baking powder, salt, vanilla, nuts and coconut.

While crust is hot, spread with topping mixture.

Bake for 20 minutes

After baking and while warm, spread with glaze:

Mix together powdered sugar, margarine, orange and lemon juice
