Cream Cheese Noodle Kugel (Dairy)

The sweet kugel can be prepared a day in advance and baked the day of the meal. What this kugel lacks in our modern definition of "lightness," it makes up for in old-fashioned Jewish food flavor.
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 1 hour, 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 8 oz pkg medium wide egg noodles
- 1/2 c butter
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 3/4 c sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 2 c milk
- 1 1/2 c frosted flakes (or corn flakes with sugar)
- 2 tblsp butter, melted
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon

Preparation
Step 1
1. Cook noodles according to package directions.
2. In a large bowl, mix butter, cram cheese, sugar,
vanilla, eggs and milk. Stir until smooth,
3. Drain noodles, add to mixture.
4. Pour into pan, conver and refigerate overnight.
5. The next day, about 2 hours before the meal,
preheat the overn to 350 degrees F.
6. In a small bowl, crush the cereal and mix with the
melted butter, sugar and cinnamon.
7. Sprinkle cereal mix on top of the cold kugel, and
then bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 1/4 hrs.
8. Cool for 20 minutes before serving.
Tip: add raisins for old fashioned flavor.
