A super easy way to prepare stuffed bell peppers using your microwave. Bell peppers are filled with rice, ground beef, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (8-ounce) package mozzarella cheese
- 6 large green peppers
Preparation time 15mins
Cooking time 30mins
Cut tops off the green peppers and clean out membranes. Put into 7-inch x11-inch pan. Add small amount of water to pan & cover with plastic wrap. Microwave around 8 to 10 minutes, or until peppers are almost tender crisp.
Meanwhile, brown hamburger & onion. Drain and add salts, tomato sauce, & rice.
Drain water out of green peppers and the pan. Sprinkle small amount of cheese into bottom of green peppers. Add half the meat mixture, more cheese, the rest of the meat and the last of the cheese. Can use red peppers too!
