c short grain brown rice
tbsp coconut oil
tbsp veg oil
tsp each of cinnamon, allspice, tumeric and red chile flakes. pinch of ground cloves
Rice: add rice, oil, salt and water to pot and bring to a boil. cover and simmer 50 minutes or until rice is tender. remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes covered to steam. fluff with a fork. Spices: in small skillet or pan, heat oil and in small bowl mix spices. stir spices into hot oil and sizzle, stirring about 10 seconds to release flavors then scrape into cooked brown rice and stir well to mix.
