  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 2 lb beef stew meat
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups beef stock
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 4 carrots thinly sliced
  • 3 potatoes diced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 stalk celery sliced

Preparation

Step 1

cook onion and garlic until golden in 1 tbsp. oil. add meat, cook until brown.

in a separate pot, melt butter, add flour and stir for 1 mins, slowly whisk in the stock till thickened, add to meat and onion.

add remaining ingredients, and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
