Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup each granulated and brown sugars
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup coconut

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.

Stir together flour, baking powder, salt and allspice; set aside.

In large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until blended. Stir in oats and coconut.

Drop heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes or til edges are lightly browned and cookies are firm to the touch. Remove to racks to cool.
