    lb hot pork sausage

  • 1

    lb lean ground beef

  • 1

    lb Velveeta cheese, cubed

  • 2

    tsp oregano

  • 1

    tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 3

    loaves cocktail rye slices


In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown sausage and ground beef until crumbly. Drain grease. Return to stove and reduce heat. Add cheese, oregano, Worcestershire, salt and pepper. Stir until cheese melts. Spread mixture on rye slices then place on cookie sheet and heat under broiler until lightly golden and bubbly 2-3 minutes. May also prepare rye slices in advance then place in plastic bags and freeze to store.
