Cheese and Sausage Casserole

Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread
  • 8oz package sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Cook and drain sausage. Break bread into pieces. Place bread, sausage and cheese into a 9 by 13 greased baking dish. Pour butter over mixture.
Beat eggs, milk, and seasonings together in a bowl. Pour egg mixture over casserole. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or freeze. Defrost first if casserole is frozen.
Bake covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Serves about 4 to 6
