Ingredients

  • 4 cups (16 oz) elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 5 cups milk
  • 4 cups (16 oz) shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Heat over to 350. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. In large saucepan over medium heat. melt butter. Blend flour, salt and pepper; gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and mixture begins to boil. Add cheese; stir until cheese is melted. In 3 quart casserole, stir together pasta and cheese sauce. Bake 30 minutes or until bubbly.
