Ingredients
- 2 pounds quality ground round beef
- 1/2 teaspoon fennel seed
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2-4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans small tomato paste
- 13 oz tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt(opt) add small amount at time
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons basil
- 2 Tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper or 1 teaspoon teasoning seasoning
- 1-2 teaspoons sugar

Preparation
Step 1
brown ground beef with 1-2 teaspoons of sugar, mince garlic(your choice of amount) and fennel seed drain well when cooked through with no pink in meat
blend the tomato paste with the crushed tomatoes and stir in tomato sauce and then the water
blend the seasonings together(basil, Italian and garlic salt)
with the salt and pepper I prefer to use teasoning this is a blend of
garlic and onion salt with tarragon and dill it is delicious
blend all together and simmer until flavors are cooked thru
I use this for spaghetti and Lasagna as my base
can add ricotta and egg along with mozzarella for Lasagna
