Preparation

Step 1

Get a 4 lb boneless Boston butt pork roast, trimmed of fat and cut into 2 inches chunks. Then in a slow cooker put 1/2 c hoisin sauce, 1/4 c low sodium soy sauce, 2 tbsp ketchup, 3 tbsp rice vinegar, 1/4 c honey, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1 1 /2 tsp Siracha sauce or chile garlic paste, 1 1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger, 2 tsp dark sesame oil and mix and add meat. Cook for 8 hours. When I shred it remove any fat pieces. Then add back into sauce and let steep and then put on hamburger buns. WE TRIED THIS 8/12 AND THEY WERE VERY GOOD. NOTE: To get most tender fork pull apart goodness, note to ues internal instant read thermometor as when a roast is at 195 degrees, the connective tissues have melted so it is now fork tender but also juicy.
