CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP

Ingredients

  • 1 package Reames noodles (in freezer case)
  • 4 chicken breasts, skinned and boned
  • 1 small can carrots
  • 2 large cans chicken broth
  • butter
  • cream or milk
  • flour
  • bread bowls from The Bread Company/Pantera's - or grocery bakery

Preparation

Step 1

Cook the chicken breasts in the microwave in a baking dish with a little butter, salt & pepper until done. Empty the cans of chicken broth into the pot and simmer the noodles in the broth. Chop up the carrots and add to the broth. Add salt, pepper and if you like a little basil, garlic, etc. After the chicken has cooled, cut or tear it into large strips and chunks and add to broth. Simmer until noodles are cooked. Mix the milk and flour as a thickener (if needed) and add and stir until thickened. (A lot of the time it comes out thick enough without adding anything. Serve hot in Bread Company soup bowls.

Serves 4.
