Macaroni and Cheese Bake

This is a very cheesy and delicious baked macaroni and cheese dish that was baked in a temptations 13"x 9" casserole dish.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. box of large elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 6 oz. of Velveeta cheese (cubed)
  • 1 and 1/2 packages of sharp cheddar cheese (12 oz.)
  • 1 package of colby jack cheese (8 oz.)
  • 1 package of mozzarella cheese (8 oz.)
  • 8 to 10 slices of American cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to a pot of water and bring to boil. Poor in noodles and cook so that they are just slightly undercooked (al dente). Drain noodles and place in a large mixing bowl.

In a separate bowl, crack and scramble the eggs and add the milk and cream. Combine the milk mixture with the noodles into the large mixing bowl. Add the colby jack cheese, mozzarella cheese, Velveeta cheese, and 1 package of the sharp cheddar cheese to the mixing bowl. Slice the stick of butter into 8 to 10 pieces and add to the bowl. Add the white pepper, onion powder, and garlic salt to the bowl and mix all together.

Poor the mixture into a 13" by 9" baking dish. Place into the oven and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cover the top of the dish with 8 to 10 slices of American cheese. Sprinkle the remaining half bag of cheddar cheese on top of the slices of cheese. Return dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let it sit for 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
