Ingredients

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • Once shortening melted Add 2 cups cold
  • Add 2 pkgs active dry yeast let stand x 10 mins
  • Mix 6 cups white flour
  • Add 2 cups raisins
  • Knead approx 2 cups white flour

Step 1

Grease bowl and form dough in ball
Let rise until double in size
Divide dough in 3 loaves
Let rise until double in size
Bake @ 400 deg. X 25-30 mins
Let cool on racks
When cool slice and enjoy. Yummy
