Ingredients

  • 6 cups thinly sliced peeled apples
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp minute tapioca
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 pkg(15oz) refrigerated pie crusts(2 crusts)
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine, cut up

Step 1

preheat oven to 400. toss apples with sugar, tapioca, cinnamon and nutmeg in large bowl. let stand 15 minutes.

prepare pie crust as directed on package for 2-crust pie, using 9 inch pie plate. fill with fruit mixture. dot with butter. cover with second pie crust; seal and flute., cut slits in top crust to allow steam to escape.

bake 45-50 minutes or until juices from bubbles that burst slowly.
