Granola Bars - Alton Brown

Butter a 9 by 9-inch glass baking dish and set aside
- 8 ounces old-fashioned rolled oats, approximately 2 cups
- 1 1/2 ounces raw sunflower seeds, approximately 1/2 cup
- 3 ounces sliced almonds, approximately 1 cup
- 1 1/2 ounces wheat germ, approximately 1/2 cup
- 6 ounces honey, approximately 1/2 cup
- 1 3/4 ounces dark brown sugar, approximately 1/4 cup packed
- 1-ounce unsalted butter, plus extra for pan
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 6 1/2 ounces chopped dried fruit, any combination of apricots, cherries or blueberries
Gluten Free All Purpose Flour Blend 1

1.Sift each ingredient into a large mixing bowl
- 1 cup GF oat flour
- 1 cup sorghum flour
- 1 cup buckwheat flour
- 1 cup quinoa flour
- 1 cup brown rice flour
- 1 1/2 cups potato starch, not potato flour
- 3/4 cup sweet rice flour
- 1/4 cup tapioca flour
- 1/2 cup amaranth flour
- 1 tbls. xanthan gum
Ginger/Garlic Savoy Cabbage

Heat wok or large skillet medium high heat, wait until oil is hot
- 1 head savoy cabbage (about 1 1/2 lbs) or 1 head Chinese cabbage, cored, shredded across in approx 3/4-inch slices (about 1 1/2 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons lite olive oil or 2 tablespoons other oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 1⁄4 tablespoons ginger, minced
- 1 lime, juiced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Cardamom Cookies

Preheat oven to 375. Grease 2 baking sheets
- For Decoration:
- 2 cups cake flour
- 1/2 cup ground almonds or almond flour
- 1/4 teaspoon orange blossom water
- 4 teaspoons ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cardamom
- sliced almonds
Paprika-Herb Rubbed Chicken

1.Combine herbes de Provence, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl
- 1 tablespoon(s) herbes de Provence (see Tips)
- 2 teaspoon(s) paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) kosher salt

- 1/4 cup warm water (115 degrees)
- 2 packets (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm whole milk (115 degrees)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted, plus more for bowl and pans
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 3 large eggs
- 6 to 6 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled), plus more for work surface
Blueberry Ketchup Recipe

Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed saucepan (two quart or larger)
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large garlic clove, crushed
- 1 Tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 pints blueberries
- 1 cup fresh tomato, peeled, seeded and chopped
- 2 large purple plums, pitted and chopped
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 Tablespoon blueberry or raspberry vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- zest of 1 lemon, cut into julienne strips
- 1 medium dried chile pepper, crumbled
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground mixed peppercorns - white, green, red and black

- 2 cups crushed vanilla cookies (I used imitation Vanilla wafers)
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
- 1/2 cup butter melted (1 stick)
- 1 bag Holiday chocolate Morsels
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 bag white chocolate chips
- 1 bag Holiday M&Ms
- 1 cans sweetened condensed milk
Smoked Gouda Cheese Macaroni

- 6 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound ditalini or small elbow macaroni
- 2 tablespoons plus 1/2 teaspoon unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons bleached all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground white pepper
- 1/4 pound smoked Gouda cheese, grated
- Parsley
Cream of Broccoli Soup

- 1 1/2 pounds broccoli
- 2 cups water
- 1 lg. Stalk celery, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 2 Tbsp. All purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Pepper
- Dash of nutmeg
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- Shredded cheese, if desired
