Potato Gratin

Preheat oven to 350 deg Heat the olive oil in a large saute pan over high heat
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 red onions, peeled and sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 c sliced leeks, white and pale green parts only
- 4 Idaho potatoes, peeled and shredded on a box grater (@ 2 1/2 lb)
- Salt
- Freshly ground pepper
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 c bread crumbs
- 3/4 c shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 c heavy cream
Cream of Broccoli soup

Melt butter on med-high heat and add onion; saute 'til clear
- 6 tbls butter
- 1 + tbls finely chopped onion
- 5 tbls flour
- 1 pkg Knorr's alfredo sauce (powdered)
- 1 c. chicken broth
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 3/4 tsp salt
- dash of black pepper
- dash of nutmeg
- 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen chopped broccoli, defrosted

Moscone Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Preheat oven to 350. Place tomato slices on sheet pan
- 1 plum tomato, cut into four slices
- 1/2 tsp olive oil
- salt
- 2 medium-thick slices rustic country bread
- 4 tsp salted butter, softened
- 2 tsp pesto
- 2 oz. Italian fontina cheese, slice thin
- 2 oz. mozzarella cheese, sliced thin
- 2 tsp Kalamata olive tapenade
Spaghetti Alla Carbonara

1.Whisk the eggs in a small bowl until just combined
- 2 large eggs at room temperature
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-reggiano cheese
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Pecorino romano cheese
- 4 oz. pancetta (cured italian bacon) cubed
- 1 lb. dry spaghetti
- 1 tbsp. salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
Ginger Bread Play Dough

Want to make something new? Try this!! DO NOT EAT!!
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/2 cup of salt
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tsp. veggie oil
- Lots of cinnamon, allspice, ginger, nutmeg.(the recipe called for red and green food coloring to make brown, but I didn't need any after I added my spices.
Queso Fundido

1. Thinly lice 2/3 c. roasted red peppers (reserve remaining peppers for other uses)
- 1 (12 oz) jar roasted red peppers
- 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 2 c. (8 oz) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 3 tbsp thinly sliced sun-dried tomatoes
- 1 pickled jalapeno pepper, thinly sliced
- Corn tortilla chips
- Grilled chorizo sausage, sliced (optional)
- Grilled fingerling potatoes (optional)

Preheat oven to 425 deg. Cut the broccoli florets from the thick stalks, leaving an inch or two of stalk attach...
- 4-5 lb. broccoli
- 4 garlic cloves, peeled and thinly sliced
- Good olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tsp grated lemon zest
- 2 tbls freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 tbls pine nuts, toasted
- 1/3 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbls julienned fresh basil leaves (@ 12 leaves)

- 20 new potatoes
- 5 slices thick-cut bacon
- 1/2 c. onion, diced
- 1 c. spring onions, chopped
- 4 oz. Brie
- 1/2 bunch parsley, chopped

- 6 tbsp lemon juice
- Grated rind of one lemon
