Fran's Spoon Bread

Scald milk in saucepan, add corn meal, egg yolk, butter and salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup yellow corn meal
- 1 egg
- 1 tbs butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
Venison And Wild Mushroom Stew

In a large stockpot cook the bacon over high heat until crispy
- 6 bacon strips cut 1/2" pieces
- 2 pounds venison cut into 1" cubes
- Salt to taste
- Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup dry red wine
- 1 large onion diced
- 1 large carrot peeled, diced
- 2 celery ribs diced
- 1 large parsnip peeled, diced
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 pound mixed wild mushrooms, sliced
- 1 bottle amber beer - (12 oz)
- 2 1/2 quarts beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 6 fresh thyme sprigs
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 pound cooked egg noodles
Caramel Apple Salad

Mix pudding, whipped topping and pineapple together in large bowl
- 1 package instant butterscotch pudding
- 8 oz whipped topping
- 8 oz crushed pineapple with juice
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 3 cups chopped apples
- 1 cup dry roasted peanuts
- 1 cup chopped Snickers bars
Grandma Adele's Beef Huzza

Brown meat in oil. Add onion, garlic and celery and saute until tender
- 1 lbs round steak or venison, cubed
- 3 tbs oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tbs flour
- 8 oz button mushrooms
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Noodles
Jane's Texas Sheet Cake

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cake:
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 sticks butter
- 4 tbs baking cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs, beaten slightly
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Frosting:
- 4 tbs cocoa
- 1 stick butter
- 6 tbs milk
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Toffee Bars

Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 6 Hershey bars
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
English Toffee

Heat butter, sugar, water and vanilla over medium heat, stirring constantly, until golden brown
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tbs water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2/3 cup finely chopped nuts
- 4 Hershey bars
Nanny's Deviled Eggs

Cut eggs in half, remove yolks to bowl and set whites on serving plate
- 6 hard boiled eggs
- 2 tbs mayonnaise
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp mustard
- dash pepper
Spaghetti and Meatballs

Mix burger in bowl with egg, crumbs and seasonings
- Meatballs:
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 egg
- 1 tbs onion flakes
- 1 tbs garlic, minced
- 1 tbs parsley, dried
- 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper
- Sauce:
- 1 tbs garlic, minced
- 2 tbs onion flakes
- 2 tbs parsley, dried
- 3 cans 15 oz tomato sauce
- 3 cans water
Jen's Taco Dip

Mix all ingredients and pour into greased 13x9 baking dish
- 2 cans refried beans
- 8 oz sour cream
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 packet taco seasonings
- 1 cup green onions, sliced
- 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
