- 1/4 1/4 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar, sifted
- 1/2 1/2 1/2 teaspoon salt, preferably fine sea salt
- 2 2 1 large egg yolks, at room temperature, plus 1 large egg yolk, for brushing the logs
- 2 2 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Decorating (coarse) sugar
- 1 1/2 1/2 1/4 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger and 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg into the flour.
