Add 1 tablespoon of salt to a large pot of water and bring it to a boil

Potato Casserole

- Nonstick cooking spray, for greasing the baking dish
- 6 large russet potatoes
- Pinch salt
- 8 ounces sliced bacon
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise

- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter

Dressed Up Mac and Cheese

Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente
- 16 ounces large elbow macaroni
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk, plus up to 1/2 cup more if needed
- 2 teaspoons powdered chicken soup base/chicken bouillon
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
