  • 1 jalapeno, seedes and diced (optional for added heat)
  • 2 cups chicken or beef broth (depending on meat used)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 cups of water

Cook on simmer 1 hour or more

  • Brown together:
  • 3 lbs. hamburger
  • 2 small onions
  • Drain excess oil
  • Then add:
  • 4 – 14 1/2 oz. cans cut tomatoes
  • 3 – 15 1/4 oz. cans dark red kidney beans
  • 1 – 29 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 – 6 oz can tomato paste
  • Spices – Add after above is complete
  • 1 tsp garlic – Refrigerator kind
  • 1 T. cumin
  • 3 T. chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
