- 1 ½-inch piece ginger
- 1 package frozen puff pastry (preferably Dufour), thawed by covering pastry sheet with plastic and leaving at room temperature 30 minutes
- Granulated sugar (for sprinkling)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F In a small bowl mix together the flax seed meal, water, vanilla, melted vegan butter
- 2 tablespoons flax seed meal mixed in 5 tablespoons water, let rest so it can thicken for 15 minutes

KFC Fried Chicken

1. Cover chicken with mixture of water and salt
- 1 Broiler fryer - cut up
- 3 cups Water
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon MSG (optional)

1. Order large loaf of bread from your bakery and ask them to cut it horizontal instead of vertical
- One large loaf of bread
- Softened butter
- 4 sandwich fillings, purchased or homemade
- 3 - 8 oz. packages of whipped Kraft Cream Cheese
- 3/4 cup of Mayo
Manhattan Cocktail

Place ice in a cocktail shaker
- Ice
- 2 parts whiskey
- 1 part sweet vermouth
- 1 to 2 dashes bitters, such as Angostura
- Orange peel
- Real Maraschino Cherries, recipe follows
- 1 cup maraschino liqueur
- 1 pint sour cherries, stemmed and pitted (in a pinch, you can buy a jar of sour cherries in light syrup, and drain the syrup)

- 1 quart buttermilk (can use low-fat)
- 6 medium cloves garlic, crushed
