- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Sliced bread (for serving)
Honey-Habanero Ribs

Heat oil in small skillet over medium heat
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 large habanero Chile, seeded, ribs removed and chopped (makes about 1 1/2 tablespoons)
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tablespoon spicy brown mustard
- 1 Tablespoon flour
- 12 country style ribs (4 1/2 pounds)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Spring Risotto

Melt butter with olive oil in a deep skillet on medium heat
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups uncooked minute rice
- 1 (14.5 oz) can chicken or veggie broth, warmed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 bunch broccoli, chopped
- 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
- salt & pepper to taste
Baked Cinnamon French Toast

Apple-Cinnamon Fruit Bars

- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds or hazelnuts) or old-fashioned rolled oats, divided
- 3/4 cup whole-wheat pastry flour
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract

- 1/3 cup plain vegetable oil, like soy, corn, or peanut
- 1/3 pound black forest ham, diced, about 2 cups or 1 can tiny shrimp
- 1 onion, diced
- Salt and pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 -inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped
- 3 whole scallions, thinly sliced on the bias, white and green separated
- 1 1/3 cups (6 ounces) medley frozen corn, peas, carrots
- 4 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 4 cups cold cooked long-grain rice, white or jasmine rice, grains separated
