- 1/2 pint milk
- 4 oz all-purpose flour

Skillet Turkey With Roasted Vegetables

Thanksgiving dinner on a weeknight
- 1 skin-on boneless turkey breast (1 1/2 to 1 3/4 pounds)
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 3/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
- 2 bunches spring onions or small regular onions trimmed and halved
- 4 stalks celery, cut into 3-inch pieces
- 2 bunches small carrots, trimmed
- 1 10-to-12-ounce package mixed mushrooms, stemmed
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Steak & Mushroom Stew

A crust free version of my boyfriend's fav, steak & mushroom pie
- 6 oz thick-cut bacon, diced
- 4 lb chuck roast, cut into 1" cubes
- 2 small onions, diced
- 2 carrots, peeled & diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 3/4 lb cremini muushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon veal demi-glace or stock
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1/4 cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Serve with mashed potatoes (optional)
Vanilla Extract

A great holiday gift
- 1 glass bottle with lid, washed with hot & soapy water (sterilized & tall enough to fit vanilla beans)
- 1-2 cups vodka, depending on the size of the glass bottle
- 2-4 vanilla beans (the more the stronger)
Hot Chocolate Fudge Cakes

Yummy, molten chocolate molten cakes
- 3.4 oz all-purpose flour (about 3/4 cup)
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 5 teaspoons instant espresso powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup egg substitute
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 (2.6 oz) bar dark (71% cocoa) chocolate, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Roasted Garlic Dressing

- 1 head garlic, roasted
- 1/4 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1/8 cup wine or cider vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Quick chicken & leek stew

- 1 tsp canola oil
- 1 1/4 lbs leeks, thinly sliced & cleaned
- 2/3 cups barley, quick cooking, uncooked
- 2 medium parsnips, chopped fine
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 3/4 lb chicken breast, skin & bone removed, 1 inch cubes
- 1/2 lb mushrooms, white, sliced
- 6 prunes, pitted & chopped
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry or port

- 1 large or 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 small red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 14-ounce can diced tomatoes
- 1 14-ounce can reduced-sodium beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
