  • 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry ground mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped (can substitute 1/ teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs or 3 slices bread torn into small pieces. I use seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste or ketchup
  • Optional: 1/4 finely chopped green pepper
