Chocolate Chip Cookies - KA Favorite

- Volume Ounces Grams
- 8 ounces unsalted butter
- 7 ounces granulated sugar
- 7 1/2 ounces brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 8 3/4 ounces rolled oats, quick cooking or old-fashioned
- 8 1/2 ounces King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour or 8 ounces King Arthur White Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt*
- 16 ounces chips of your choice (semisweet chocolate, cinnamon, white, butterscotch, etc.)
- 3 to 6 ounces chopped dried fruit, or 2 to 4 ounces nuts, optional
- Reduce the salt to 1/4 teaspoon if you use salted butter.
