  • 1/2 cup carrot slices

  • 2 sprigs parsley
  • 8 whole peppercorns
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 salmon steaks or fillets
  • For lime sauce:
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cup poaching liquid
  • Dash of dill weed
  • Salt and pepper
