Easy to make, incredibly moist banana bars with a browned sugar frosting
- Bars
- 1 ½ cups granulated white sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup 1 cup sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 ¾ cups mashed ripe bananas 3 or 4 bananas
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup toasted walnuts chopped
- Browned Butter Frosting
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 3 ¾ cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- about 3 tablespoons milk or half and half
