- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 1/4 2 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- Food coloring, sprinkles, jimmies and colored sugar as desired

- 2 c. half-and-half (light cream)

- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 6 medium-sized tart apples, peeled, cored, sliced
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cardamon
- 2 tbsp. butter or margarine
