- 1/2 tsp. saffron
- 7 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp. canola oil
- 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. curry powder
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper, plus more to taste
- 1/2 tsp. ground turmeric
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp. rose water
- 6 eggs, lightly beaten

- Apple scraps (the cores and peels from organic apples are perfect)
- A piece of cheesecloth that you will use to cover up the jar so no debris or flies can get inside
