Granny's Banana Cream Pie
By garciamoss
In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour, and salt; stir in milk and mix well
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 3 egg yolks, lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 medium firm bananas
- 1 9 inch pie shell, baked
- whipped cream or Cool Whip
- sliced banana
Homemade Muesli Recipe

Mix all ingredients together
- 2 cups rolled oats (not instant oats or steel cut)
- 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or seeds of your choice (almonds, walnuts and sunflower seeds work well)
- 1/2 cup dried fruit of your choice (I suggest raisins for a traditional style. If using other, larger dried fruits such as apricots, dates, or prunes, make sure to chop them well first.)
- 1/4 cup coconut shreds or flakes (unsweetened)
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Like a cinnamon-sugar doughnut in muffin form
- Topping and assembly:
- Nonstick vegetable oil spray
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter, melted
Chai Coconut Ice Cream

If you own a large blender, blend all of the ingredients until smooth
- 2 14 ounce cans of full fat coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract (such as this one)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (such as this one)
- 1/8 teaspoon each of ground nutmeg, cloves, and cardamom (such as this one)
- A pinch or two of unrefined salt
- 1/2 cup of pure maple syrup (I prefer grade B - available here) or a combination of maple syrup and raw honey – raw honey is sweeter, so a version made with 1/4 cup of each still has the maple flavor, and is also sweeter from the honey.
Low-Cal Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding

Combine sugar, cornstarch, and cocoa in a medium saucepan; stir with a whisk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsps. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsps. Dutch process cocoa
- 1 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 2 oz. milk chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 Tbsp. chopped unsalted, dry-roasted peanuts

- 1 pound (about 2 1⁄2 cups) dry beans of any type: red, navy, pinto, black, adzuki, speckled, what have you
- 2 tbsp bacon drippings
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed and chopped
- 1 bay leaf, broken in half

- 1 cup dried lotus seeds or red beans
- 2/3 to 3/4 cup sugar (to taste)

- 6 tbsp coconut oil, or other solid fat of your choice (i.e. lard or shortening)
- For the skin:
- 1/4 cup golden syrup (i.e. Lyle’s)
- 1/2 tsp alkaline water (also known as kansui, or potassium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate solution, like this)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cake flour (alternatively, omit cake flour and use 1 cup all-purpose)

How To Make Paneer Cheese

- 1/2 gallon whole milk, not UHT pasteurized
- 1/4 cup lemon juice or vinegar
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4-quart saucepan

- Strainer or colander
- Mixing bowl
