Pasta e Fagioli (Slow Cooker)

Add olive oil to a large skillet and add in ground beef
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 whole carrots, diced
- 4 celery stalks, diced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
- 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) beef broth
- 2 whole bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- salt and pepper to taste (I added 1 tsp salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper)
- 1 can (15 ounces) cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 ounces) red kidney beans, drained and rinsed

Pour melted margarine or butter into a 9×13 baking pan
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 12 slices of bread or 3 cups of cubed bread (I prefer white, but have made it with whole wheat – doesn’t taste the same)
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon or baking spice (or you can substitute with pumpkin spice blend which we do often)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4-1/2 c. syrup (depending on taste)

- 1 lb. raw boneless skinless chicken breast, pounded to an even thickness
- 2 tsp. salt-free seasoning mix (like Mrs. Dash Original)
- 5 cups roughly chopped cauliflower (about 1 medium head)
- 1/3 cup egg whites or fat-free liquid egg substitute
- 2 cups frozen peas and carrots
