Raspberry Cream Filled Cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 sticks (10 tablespoons) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups plus 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 vanilla bean, halved lengthwise, seeds scraped and reserved
- 6 ounces (1 cup) fresh raspberries (3-4 oz may be better to make the filling less runny)
- 7 1/2 ounces best-quality white chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
Orange Cream Mimosa

- 2 1/2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice (5 to 6 oranges)
- 1 orange, zested
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 1 cup superfine sugar
- 1 bottle sparkling wine or Champagne*
- Strawberries, for garnish
- Non-alcoholic sparkling wine, sparkling cider, or ginger ale can be substituted
Rattlesnake Bites - Texas Roadhouse

Wash jalapenos, cut in half, and take out seeds
- 12 large jalapenos, seeded and cut in half
- 2 cups Monterey jack cheese, shredded
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon Parmesan, grated
- salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 cup bread crumbs, seasoned or unseasoned

- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1/2 cup Italian dressing
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice

MOM'S RAISED DOUGHNUTS

1. SOAK yeast in 1/2 cup warm (not hot) water - 5 minutes
- 1/2 c water, warm (not hot)
- 2 pkg active dry yeast
- 3/4 c milk, lukewarm
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 c all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1/3 c shortening
- 2 eggs
- GLAZE
- 1 Tbsp water, warm (may need more to thin, but thicker is better)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 c confectioners' sugar, sifted
Chicken Noodle Soup

Preparation 1. Combine the first 3 ingredients in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat; bring to a boil
- 8 cups Chicken Stock or fat-free, lower-sodium chicken broth
- 2 (4-ounce) skinless, bone-in chicken thighs
- 1 (12-ounce) skinless, bone-in chicken breast half
- 2 cups diagonally sliced carrot
- 2 cups diagonally sliced celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 6 ounces uncooked medium egg noodles
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Celery leaves (optional)

- 2 1-ounce bottles of red food coloring (equivalent measure is 1/4 cup or 4 tablespoons)
- 1/2 cup Crisco or other vegetable shortening
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1-1/2 cup sugar
