  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
  • 8 large egg whites
