Slow cooker corned beef and cabbage

From Taste of Home. I've made this several times
- 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
- 4 large red potatoes, quartered
- 1 pound baby carrots
- 3 cups water
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 corned beef brisket with spice packet (2-1/2 to 3 pounds), cut in half
- 1 small head cabbage, cut into wedges

In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first five ingredients
- BLUE CHEESE BUTTER:
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 beef flank steak (2 pounds)
- 3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper

- 1 tsp. Buttermilk Ranch Dressing mix
- 1/4 tsp. dill weed
- 1 tsp. water
- 2 TB. mayonnaise
- 2 TB. buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cups corn kernels (cooked, fresh off the cob tastes best)
- 1/2 cup peas
- 1/2 cup carrots, sliced in coins
- 1/2 grape tomatoes, cut in half
- 1/2 cup chopped green peppers
- 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
