Cinnamon Nuts

Toast the nuts a bit in a skillet, continue to stir so they don’t burn
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 cups walnuts, pecans, or almonds
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tbs sugar
- 1 tbs cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
Hoppin ‘ John Pea Soup

Before preparing dried beans sort through them thoroughly for tiny pebbles or other debris
- 2 cups dried black eyed peas soaked in cold water
- 1 pound lean slab bacon or 1pound meaty ham hock
- 1 large onion chopped
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 4 cups water or chicken broth
- 2 cups long grain white rice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cinnamon Popcorn II

Heat oil in a large pot or saucepan over medium-high heat
- 2 tbs vegetable oil
- 2 tbs light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup un poped popcorn
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2-2.25 ounce package cinnamon red hots candies
Chocolate Mouse

Melt chocolate in double boiler, remove from heat
- 12 ounce semi sweet chocolate bits
- 2 eggs
- 4 egg yolks
- 4 egg whites
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 tsp powdered sugar
- 6 strawberries optional
Cinnamon Twisties

Heat the oven to 375*. Lightly spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray
- 1-8 ounce can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
- 1 tbs butter or margarine
- 2 tsp cinnamon- sugar blend
Aloha Coleslaw

Mix all ingredients i a large bowl and chill for at least 1 hour
- 1 medium head green cabbage, rinsed and sliced thin
- 1- 15 ounce crushed pineapple
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 large carrot shredded
- 1 cup mayonnaise

Cream butter and sugar first
- 2 sticks butter and 1/2 cup sugar mix together well
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1 tbs cold water
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp almond
Sour Cream Cookies {Clara Woodard’s}

Mix all together and bake
- 1/2 cup of shortening
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 1/3 cups cake or pastry flour
Coffee Cake

Mix all ingredients together
- 1 box butter recipe golden cake mix
- 1 small box instant pudding
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 4 eggs [add one at a time]
- 2 tbs cinnamon
- 2 tbs vanilla
- 1 cup pecans chopped
Chocolate Syrup

- Dash of salt
