The recipe calls for grape jelly but I think strawberry or raspberry preserves would be delicious
- For the base:
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 sleeve saltines (40 crackers, regular or whole wheat), finely crushed
- 3/4 cup finely chopped roasted peanuts
- For the filling and glaze:
- 1/4 cup grape jelly
- 7 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon unsalted butter, softened

1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 16 tablespoons (1 cup or 2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1 (13.5 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup or 1/2 a stick) salted butter

- 1 1/2 cups roughly chopped walnuts (or pecans)

- Topping:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped baby carrots

- 2 teaspoons white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried basil (plus 1 tsp. thyme, garlic powder, paprika and creole seasoning - Tony Chachere's)

- 4 cups chicken broth (used 2 cans chicken broth and 1/2 cup milk)

- 1 1/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon plus 2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup whole milk

- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 stick plus 2 tablespoons (10 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped, or 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- For the Frosting:
- 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
