- 1 tbsp. butter
- 5 cups homemade chicken broth or 2 cans chicken
- broth,deluted with 2 cans water
- 1/2 cup rice
- 5 oz. fresh spinach,blanched or 1/2 package frozen
- spinach,thawed
- 2 cups cooked chicken,cut up
- Colonna grated Parmesan cheese

In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt

- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 6 ounces dark chocolate (60 to 72% cacao), coarsely chopped
- 2 ounces (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, cut into tablespoons
- 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

- 1 can (10 3/4 ozs) condensed cream of onion soup
- 1 envelope (1 1/4 ozs) taco seasoning mix
- 1/4 cup water
- 6 corn tortillas (5 or 6 inches in diameter),cut in 1/2-inch strips
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
- 3 medium green onions,sliced (3 tablespoons)

- 8 cups chicken broth or stock
- 2/3 cup pearl barley,rinsed
- Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons Gulden's Spicy brown mustard
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
- 1 large onion,chopped
- 3 carrots,peeled and thinly sliced
- 3 stalks celery,chopped
- 1/2 pound mushrooms,coarsely chopped
- 2 to 3 tablespoons freshly chopped dill
- 1 cup shredded or slivered cooked chicken
- French bread to serve
